First Title “Bubblegum Princess” inspired by Duchess Kate Middleton & Prince William
New York, NY, July 9, 2013 – Tribeca based New York Media Works, LLC works with artists & filmmakers from around the world to create inspiring and entertaining stories for audiences of all ages. This month the media company expands operations beyond the film & television industry to produce children’s literature.
New York Media Works’ first book, Bubblegum Princess is inspired by Duchess Kate Middleton & Prince Williams’ fairytale romance, and a real-life gum-chewing incident at the Prince’s Sandhurst passing-out ceremony in 2006. Bubblegum Princess will be released the day Prince William & Duchess Kate’s “Baby Cambridge” is born.
Bubblegum Princess author, Julie Gribble, celebrates a lively, intelligent, and strong-willed heroine; her Katy is not your typical “princess.” The full color Bubblegum Princess, illustrated by Lori Hanson takes readers on an adventure filled with royals, the queen’s favorite dogs – corgis, and tons of bubblegum.
Throughout the year New York Media Works will produce special events to celebrate the publication of the book, and Baby Cambridge’s birth. In addition to events held in New York City, Ms Gribble plans to donate copies of Bubblegum Princess to charities in the United States, and abroad. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Julie Gribble is an Emmy-nominee and 2013 Stony Brook Southampton Children’s Literature Fellow. She will be mentored by best-selling author, and Grammy winner Emma Walton Hamilton during her tenure as a Children’s Lit Fellow.
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Lori Hanson is a California-based painter who received her Masters of Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute. Hanson teaches painting and art history at Columbia College. Her work is shown around the United States.
