Lori and I attended this year’s SCBWI Winter Conference held in NYC! It was incredible to hear guest speakers Shaun Tan, Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton, to name a few, but the most memorable and enlightening events were the critique sessions, where there seemed to be genuine enthusiasm for our Bubblegum Princess story – one highly sought after agent even going so far as to say “I could sell this” which pleased me to no end. It gave us the confidence needed to finish the project with even more enthusiasm.
We’re working on a final edit, some slight pic changes, then we’ll compile text and illustrations soon after.
