Red Table Theatre’s next production, Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tales, will run at the Pleasance Theater from the 6th – 31st of December. They will be performing two shows a day, and have planned up to 10 additional early morning performances just for school parties. It’s the only family show at The Pleasance, Islington UK in the coming festive season.
NYMW is pleased to be a sponsor for this production after hearing of the success of the Just So Stories which had a run at the Pleasance and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
From the Red Table Theatre website
This Christmas, fresh from their five star successes with Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Just So’ Stories in both London and Edinburgh,
Red Table Theatre’s storytellers bring you a delightful collection of the fairytales of Hans Christian Andersen.
Known to generations in his native Denmark and across the world as the most magical of storytellers, some of Andersen’s best loved stories are brought to life by the cast using nothing but their own creativity, and an assortment of odds and ends they found lying around in a corner of their old upstairs attic.
Complete with Danish children’s songs, this production aims to engage everyone in the joys of Andersen’s exceptional stories, encouraging creative play and exploration afterwards in both children and adults alike.
For children aged 4+ and adults of all ages.
